BIOGRAPHY
Shahrior Pervaz is a research assistant professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering at the University of Central Florida (UCF). He also worked as a postdoctoral scholar at UCF. Prior to joining UCF, he was an assistant professor and a lecturer at the Accident Research Institute (ARI), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh. His research primarily focuses on the formulation and development of statistical and econometric models and their application to different transportation engineering sectors, including transportation planning, transportation safety, and driver behavior, to understand the underlying behavioral patterns and decision processes.
Pervaz is currently involved in multiple research projects funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, and the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP). He has also contributed to several research projects sponsored by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). His research has been published in leading transportation journals, including Analytic Methods in Accident Research, Accident Analysis & Prevention, and Transportation Research Record.
