Each year, the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) selects a Distinguished Lecturer in recognition of his or her excellence as both a researcher and educator and ability to give engaging oral presentations to members of the environmental engineering community and the general public. UCF was awarded the distinction of hosting the 2023 event with partner universities, the University of Florida, the University of South Florida, and Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Steve Duranceau, a professor within UCF’s Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering Department, served as the event organizer.
Cliff Davidson is the Thomas and Colleen Wilmot Professor of Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Davidson presented the lecture “The Interaction of Airborne Particles with Surfaces to over 50 attendees that traveled to UCF to participate in this event at the Live Oak Ballroom. As part of the program, over a dozen students from across the state participated in a poster session in the Magnolia Room within the Live Oak conference center on campus.
