Posting a Job or Internship

Internships and job opportunities should be posted on Handshake. Handshake is UCF’s internship/job board. Corporate Options for Experiential Learning

One of the best ways to learn is to do. And our Office of Experiential Learning gives students an opportunity to take their first steps into the real world. If you’re interested in setting up a formal internship program, please contact Sandra Leon-Barth within the Office of Experiential Learning at Sandra.Leon-Barth@ucf.edu.

On-Campus Recruiting Options

Whether you schedule on-campus interviews, host and in an information session or recruiting table, or post a position you’ll want to partner with Career Services. On-campus recruiting provides an opportunity for employers to connect with a diverse, highly qualified, and talented student population. Recruiting on campus creates links with our students, student organizations, faculty, and administrators while increasing your company’s image, brand, and visibility. UCF uses the Handshake system to coordinate reservations for all on-campus recruiting schedules. Students will submit résumés and sign up for interviews directly online through Handshake, and the schedule and interview details are also finalized online by the employer. If you have questions regarding on-campus recruiting, please contact Jessica Thomas, Assistant Director of Employee Relations for the College of Engineering & Computer Science, and the College of Optics and Phonics via email at (Jessica.Thomas@ucf.edu) or visit the Career Services Website – www.career.ucf.edu.

Sponsorship

The colleges’ Office of Diversity and Inclusion was created with the purpose of recruiting and retaining minorities, women, and underrepresented groups into the fields of engineering and computer science at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We are always looking for opportunities to partner with companies that have an interest in diversity and inclusion. We work to support our office efforts (along with the Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) to support the advancement of underrepresented groups (women, a student with disabilities, veterans, ethnic minorities, and non-traditional students) in the STEM fields. If your company is interested in partnering with or supporting the efforts of the above programs please reach out to Dr. LeeAnn Roberts, Interim Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion for the College of Engineering via email at LeeAnn.Roberts@ucf.edu or visit their website at https://diversity.cecs.ucf.edu/.

Affiliate Programs Facilitate Recruiting

The benefits of joining the CECE Corporate Affiliates Board (CAB) include recruiting top talent. One example of this is attending the semi-annual CECE Career Mixer, which connects companies with CECE students and alumni. Your admission is waived as a CAB member. Interested in your organization becoming a CAB member, please contact the CECE department.
